Can I add subdomains, and how are they different from domains?

By Gbz • October 16, 2023

Yes, you can add subdomains via cPanel. A subdomain is a subset of your main domain, taking the form “yoursubdomain.yourdomain.com”. While a domain represents a standalone web address, a subdomain is an extension of that and can point to different parts of your website or host entirely different content.

To add a subdomain, navigate to cPanel > Domains section and click on the Create a New Domain button. Do note that the former Subdomains section within cPanel has been merged within the Domains section.

Good to Know: Subdomains are helpful for organizing content, setting up a blog, or creating specific sections like a support portal or a shop.
