Is there a process for domain locking or unlocking?

By Gbz • October 16, 2023

Domain locking provides an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized transfers or changes to your domain. When a domain is locked, it can’t be transferred to another registrar or modified by unauthorized individuals.

By default, Spiderz locks your domain upon registration if the feature is available, safeguarding it from unauthorized transfers or alterations.

If you need to transfer your domain or make specific changes, you’ll have to unlock it. To lock or unlock your domain, create a request with our support team, and we’ll assist you promptly.

Good to Know: It’s recommended to keep your domain locked when not making changes or transfers to prevent potential domain hijacking or unauthorized modifications.
