Why am I prompted to re-enter my cPanel password?

By Gbz • October 30, 2023

Repeated prompts to enter your cPanel password can occur due to various reasons. It might be a security measure, especially if you’re accessing cPanel from a different IP address than usual, indicating a session timeout, or part of a two-factor authentication process.

Sometimes, it can also be due to browser issues, where cookies responsible for session management are not saved correctly.

At other times, you may have shared your cPanel password with a colleague who may be accessing cPanel at the same time as you are, which will give rise to this issue.

Good to Know: If the prompts become bothersome, consider checking your internet connection stability, browser cookie settings, or reach out to support for assistance with session-related concerns.
